Riley + Bailey were married July 28, 2018.

They were the first-ever couple to use the newly opened Lake to Skyview Farms Ltd. for their wedding day. And what a great choice that was. The photo-ops were literally everywhere! The grounds include a picture-perfect red barn, plus an adorable cottage for the girls to get ready in. Everything you could possibly need is on-site.

The weather on this day was(to say the least)temperamental. We weren’t sure whether we were going to get sun-burns, or have torrential downpour. While the storm clouds loomed over us we got to work photographing the boys.

Next we were off to the beautiful blue cottage to hang out with the girls. They had just arrived from hair and makeup, and made it inside just before it started to pour.

Riley + Bailey planned to have an outdoor ceremony, and they were not going to give up on that. The rain only stopped a few minutes before the ceremony was to begin, so their friends and family got to work drying off the chairs. Within a few minutes it was as if it had never rained at all.

The two had the outdoor ceremony they had always wanted, underneath the arbor Bailey’s father built for them.

Bailey’s parents didn’t want to make her cry before the ceremony, so once it was over they surprised her with the sweetest gift. They had their original wedding band and diamonds repurposed into a beautiful necklace for her to wear on her wedding day.

Once we’d all dried up our tears, off we went to shoot some portraits!

And then, it was reception time!

During supper the guests enjoyed some heartfelt speeches that had the entire room laughing and crying (yes, at the same time).

For those who have followed my work for awhile, you know my favourite part of every wedding day is when I get to sneak out at sunset with the bride and groom. This is when each couple is most relaxed, and SO happy. Plus, it makes for the most beautiful images. Ahem:

Riley and Bailey returned to their party to find a FULL dance floor.

At the end of this beautiful day we went home with hearts so full. I can confidently say that Riley and Bailey are two of the sweetest people you will ever come across. Thanks for treating us like family, guys.
